Square Hospital Ltd senior consultant and paediatric surgery department coordinator Professor Md Kabirul Islam has received the Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman Best Paediatric Surgeon Gold Medal for 2024.
Every year a distinguished paediatric surgeon is awarded. This year鈥檚 award was given at the 11th National and 8th International Conference of Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Bangladesh was held in May 3-4 at a hotel in the Cox鈥檚 Bazar, said a press release on Saturday.
This medal is given in the name of brave freedom fighter Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman, founder of Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Bangladesh, Ekushey Padak winner and chairman of Dhaka Community Hospital Trust, the release added.
Renowned and prominent paediatric surgeons of the country participated in discussions on various important issues of paediatric surgery in the sessions.
