The directorial venture of filmmaker Mohammed Moin Uddin Hasan titled ‘Fatima’ is scheduled to be released in cinemas across the country on May 24.

The announcement was made at a conference held at the office of Outcomes Films in the capital on Saturday.


‘Fatima’ bagged the Crystal Simorgh award in the Eastern Vista section at the 42nd edition of the Fajr International Film Festival held in Tehran, Iran in February this year.

Mohammed Moin Uddin Hasan, widely known as Dhrubo Hasan, told Ʒ that the film would be released in more than 10 cinemas across the country.

‘Eight years ago, the title of the film was “Dahkaal”. Later, its name was changed to “Fatima” in keeping with the development of the story,’ mentioned Dhrubo Hasan.

Referring to his various memories with the film, Tariq Anam Khan said that the director made it possible by completing the production of the film ‘Fatima’.

‘This is my first film,’ said Tasnia Farin, who played the role of ‘Subarna’ in the film.

‘Now, I am waiting to watch the film in cinemas,’ she added.

The film stars Tariq Anam Khan, Tasnia Farin, Yash Rohan, Pantha Kanai, among others.
