
Private operator US-Bangla Airlines is set to operate direct flights to Saudi Arabia’s second largest city Jeddah from August.
In a press release, the largest private airline said that Jeddah was one of the destinations in the Middle East on the shores of the Red Sea and the main gateway to Mecca, the holiest city for the Muslim.
‘The US-Bangla Airlines is committed to providing better passenger services to expatriate Bangladeshis’, read the release.
A 436-seater Airbus 330-300 aircraft plane would be operated on the Dhaka-Jeddah route every day.
 Currently US-Bangla Airlines has a total of 24 aircraft, including two Airbus 330-300 in its fleet.
Md Kamrul Islam, general manager-public relations at the US-Bangla, said that the airlines would facilitate passengers, who wish to perform Hajj and Umrah in the future.
He said that the US-Bangla arranged flight plans with competitive fares and prioritised timings based on passenger preferences.
Alongside the all domestic routes, the airlines operates international flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Chennai, and Kolkata routes.
