A delegation from the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Science, China visited Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute on Tuesday.
BARI scientists and officers welcomed the China delegation at the time of their arrival at the institute, said a press release.
BARI director general Debasish Sarker gave a welcome address at DG鈥檚 conference room. Principal scientific officer (director general鈥檚 office) Md Shawquat Ali Khan gave short brief presentation on BARI.
Director general and senior researcher of Anhui Academy of Agricultural Science Rende Qi, Yong Zhang; director and senior researcher Haoliang Chen and BARI鈥檚 director (research) Md Abdullah Yousuf Akhond, chief scientific officer (entomology) Nirmal Kumar Dutta, chief scientific officer (agronomy) Ferdousi Begum, chief scientific officer (pathology) Ashis Kumer Saha and senior scientists from various divisions/centres/section of BARI were present at the event.
Later, the delegation visits various laboratories and research field in BARI and expressed their satisfaction by seeing the activities of advancement and achievements of the institute.
