Experts on Thursday suggested conducting a large-scale research on the long-term effects on the human body affected by the corona virus.

They were speaking at a meeting presided over by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University vice-chancellor Professor Deen Md Nurul Haque.


The experts also laid importance also on the research on the effects of corona vaccination on the human body. In particular, experts suggested that research should be conducted to determine the effects of AstraZeneca vaccination on the human body.

In this study, it was decided to include health workers including doctors, nurses, technologists, technicians as well as ordinary people affected by corona virus.

As part of the long-term after-effects of Covid 19, various complications are occurring in the human body such as memory loss, irritable mood and rough behavior, various types of neurological disorders, heart disease, kidney failure etc.

Prime minister鈥檚 personal physician and former Dean Emeritus Professor ABM Abdullah, BSMMU pro-vice-chancellor (administration) Saif Uddin Ahmad, pro-vice-chancellor (academic) Professor Mohammad Atiqur Rahman, UGC Professor Sajal Krishna Banerjee, BSMMU registrar Professor ABM Abdul Hannan, proctor Professor Md Habibur Rahman Dulal, nephrology department head Masud Iqbal of the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology, BSMMU cardiology department professor Deepal Krishna Adhikari, kidney department professor Rana Mokarram Hossain, professor Omar Faruq, deputy registrar GM Sadiq Hasan and others were present in that important meeting.
