M Shamsul Arefin has recently joined as the managing director and chief executive officer of NCC Bank PLC, according to a press release.
Earlier, he served in the same bank holding the position of additional managing director, deputy managing director and senior executive vice-president and discharged his duties as the CAMLCO, the chief risk officer, the head of credit risk management and the head of corporate business.
Shamsul started his banking career as a management trainee at Eastern Bank in 1994. He completed his BCom (Honors) from Aligarh Muslim University, India and MCom (Finance) from the University of Dhaka. Later, he completed MBA with major in finance from North-South University.
