
Workers Party of Bangladesh president Rashed Khan Menon on Saturday called on youths to resist misrule, corruptions and sectarian politics in the country.
‘In past youths have played roles against any crisis of the country and now they should play role for establishing good governance,’ Menon said while speaking at a programme in Dhaka’s Segunbagicha.
Bangladesh Chhatra Moitri and Juba Moitri organised the programme to mark 81st birthday of Rashed Khan Menon.
Chaired by Juba Moitri president Touhidur Rahman, Workers Party general secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha, Juba Moitri general secretary Tapos Das, Chhatra Moitri president Atulan Das Alo and others spoke at the programme.
The programme was ended cutting a birthday cake, a press release said.
On behalf of Workers Party, a discussion meeting will be held on Sunday in front of the party’s central office at Topkhana Road to mark the birthday. Â
