A seminar on ‘Next Generation Environmental Purification System’ was held at American International University-Bangladesh in Dhaka on Saturday, said a press release.

The chief representative of JICA to Bangladesh, Ichiguchi Tomohide, inaugurated the seminar, which was organised by the Japan International Cooperation Agency and J-TOP Corporation Limited.


At the seminar, the environmental purification system was presented as the new project for the garment industry to recycle wastewater with proper treatment.

As a keynote speaker, J-TOP president Jiichi Nakaki illustrated the whole process of wastewater recycling with theoretical data and experimental demonstration.

Director of the Department of Environment Ziaul Haque was present as special guest at the seminar. Before the end of the seminar, the founding member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB, Hasanul A Hasan, handed over tokens of appreciation to the guests.

Member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB, Carman Z Lamagna, concluded the session with a vote of thanks.

The seminar was coordinated by the Faculty of Arts and Social Science professor Md Taufiqul Islam and moderated by adjunct professor of the faculty Shiho Tanaka.
