A construction worker was electrocuted to death while doing plaster works in an under-construction building in the capital鈥檚 Kalabagan area on Tuesday.
The deceased is Mohammad Mofazzal Haque, 50, a resident of Dhumihayatpur village in Chapainawabganj.
Another worker Jalil Mia said that Mofazzal suddenly was electrocuted by an electric wire while he was working standing on the scaffolding on the fourth floor of the nine-storey building near Calix School in the Bhooter Goli area.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
DMCH police camp in-charge Bachchu Mia said that the body was kept at the hospital鈥檚 emergency department morgue for autopsy.
