The Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms hosted a stakeholder consultation workshop at Hotel Holiday Inn Dhaka on Thursday to validate the smartRJSC system, a cutting-edge platform designed to transform company registration processes in Bangladesh with the relevant government and private sector stakeholders, said a press release.

The initiative was supported by the USAID-funded Feed the Future Bangladesh Trade Activity, the release said.

The workshop brought together industry leaders, government officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Bank, Export Promotion Bureau, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, and key business stakeholders.

The smartRJSC system promises to streamline company registration for both the RJSC and its users, reducing time, costs, and complexity. It will enhance user experience with features like automation, data verification, and transparency.

State minister of the Ministry of Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu attended the event as the chief guest while commerce ministry secretary Md Selim Uddin joined the programme as a special guest.

RJSC registrar Md Mizanur Rahman chaired the workshop and reaffirmed RJSC’s unwavering commitment to driving impactful changes within Bangladesh’s business landscape.

The state minister shared his optimistic remarks about the smartRJSC system saying, ‘Our smartRJSC system will be ready by this year. By this, we will contribute to our Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041. I request the users of this system to come forward and share their valuable suggestions so that we can make it even better. I also request the Trade Activity and other associations to arrange more workshops so that we can have more discussions on this and develop the system.’

Mohammad Sayed Shibly, project management specialist, USAID Bangladesh said, ‘This system is an important tool for improving economic governance. Supporting implementation of the smart RJSC system is a part of USAID’s commitment to supporting a free economy and helping to unleash the dynamism of Bangladesh’s entrepreneurs.’
