The police recovered the hanging body of Souvick Mallick, a student at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, from his rented accommodation in Rajshahi city Saturday afternoon.
Souvick, a second-year student in the computer science and engineering department, was the son of Samir Kumar Mallick from Ramkantpur village of Shalikha police station in Magura.
Professor Md Kumruzzaman, director of RUET Students鈥� Welfare, told 抖阴精品 that Souvick lived in a rented mess in the Shadhur Mor area of Rajshahi city.
鈥楢fter receiving no response from Souvick, other students in the mess informed the police. The police broke down the door of his room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan,鈥� he said.
Later, Souvick was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Souvick had been suffering from depression, professor Kumruzzaman added, quoting his roommate.
However, his roommate could not provide any information about the cause of Souvick鈥檚 depression, he added.
