The authorities have suspended movement of all launches on the inland waterways until further notice.
Due to the approaching cyclonic storm 鈥楻emal鈥� over northwest bay and adjoining area, the decision was taken, according to a notice issued by the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority Saturday night.
It said that movement of all launches across Bangladesh had been suspended for Sunday to ensure safety of people.
