Theatre troupe Theatre Factory staged the 37th show of its production titled ‘Asharashya Pratham Dibase’ at the Experimental Theatre Hall of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Tuesday.
Asharashya Pratham Dibase, the maiden production of Theatre Factory, has been directed by Alok Basu. Angshuman Bhowmik has translated the play into Bangla from Mohan Rakesh’s Hindi play ‘Ashadh Ka Ek Din’.

He travels to the capital at the request of Mallika and gradually achieves fame as poet. The king becomes impressed after reading Kalidas’s works and the king makes Kalidas his son-in-law.
After Kalidas becomes the ruler of the kingdom, he decides to visit his village again. He travels to the village and finds that many things have changed over the years. He tries to pen poems again but fails to find suitable words and the play moves forward.
