A farmer was killed in a lightning strike in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet on early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sajid Mia, 45, a resident of village Mokbelpur of Balaganj upazila.
According to local people, lightning hit Sajid Mia when he was fishing in a haor at about 1:00am.
He was taken to the Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
