
The 67th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation was observed on Thursday, said a press release.
The BSCIC chairman Sanjay Kumar Bhowmick and leaders and activists of employees’ unions of the institution placed floral wreaths on the portrait of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking the occasion.
Later, a discussion was organised at the BSCIC Board Room.
Directors, officers and employees of the BSCIC head office were present at the programme and field-level officers and employees joined the programme via Zoom App.
The BSCIC chairman said that he was proud to be a part of the institution built by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He also discussed and exchanged views with the BSCIC officials at the event.
The BSCIC finance director Md Kamal Uddin Biswas said BSCIC’s contribution to the country’s export sector was 11 per cent, which was playing an important role in the country’s economic development.
The programme ended with a cake-cutting ceremony at the conference room of the BSCIC head office.
