Leaders of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD on Friday at a rally in Dhaka alleged that the Awami League government was patronising looters and introduced misrule in the country.
The JSD, a partner of the Ganatantra Mancha, organised the rally in front of the National Press Club where Dhaka city unit coordinator Kamal Uddin Patwari chaired.
JSD general secretary Shahid Uddin Mahmod Sapon said that the Awami League government was patronising the looters to continue its misrule in the country.
He called on all opposition political parties to wage movements against the government to compel it to resign from power.
Senior vice-president Tania Rob called on the government to bring those to justice who amassed huge illegal wealth abusing state power.
The misrule cannot continue any longer and those involved in corruption must face trials after the end of the misrule, Tania Rob said.
Another vice-president Mohammad Siraj Mia said that the Awami League government was engulfed in corruption and they failed to control price hikes of the essential commodities.
Central leaders of the party KM Jabir, Minur Rahman, Mosharraf Hossain, Mosharraf Hossain Montu, Quamrul Ahsan Apu and others spoke at a rally.
The rally was followed by a protest procession that paraded up to Motijheel.
