An eight-day printmaking workshop titled 鈥楶lanography Workshop鈥� conducted by internationally acclaimed artist-art educator Sheikh Mohammad Rokonuzzaman is under way at Safiuddin Shilpalay.
The studio has inaugurated the workshop on May 31 marking the 102nd anniversary of the birth of Safiuddin Ahmed. About 34 artistes are participating in the workshop.
鈥楽afiuddin Printmaking Studio regularly organises workshops and exhibitions to promote printmaking. We have sponsored 18 fine art students from nine universities at the workshop,鈥� said Safiuddin Printmaking Studio co-ordinator MFI Mazumder Shakil.聽聽聽
鈥榃e organise workshops every year. Bangladeshi artists are making a name for themselves in the global art arena for print-based artworks. The studio promotes not only students of art institutes but also artists from different backgrounds who want to practice printmaking,鈥� said Safiuddin Shilpalay founder Ahmed Nazir.
The workshop will end on June 7.
