A female worker of Ishwardi Export Processing Zone was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband on Sunday morning in front of the EPZ.
The police arrested the husband following the incident that took place at about 7:30am.
The deceased is Rina Begum, 29, daughter of Akbar Ali, a resident of Adani Choksingipara village of Bagha upazila in Rajshahi.
She was working at Renaissance Barind Limited of the EPZ.
Confirming the matter, sub-inspector Monirul Islam of the Ishwardi police station said that the wife had a family dispute with her drug addict husband Milan, son of Akbar Ali of Char Kidindapara of Chapainawabganj.
On information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital for autopsy, Monirul said, adding that the victim鈥檚 husband, Milan, has been arrested in the incident.
The victim鈥檚 father, Akbar Ali, on Sunday afternoon filed a murder case against Milon with the Ishwardi police station.
The investigation officer said that Milan was arrested in the murder case.
