The second three-day international conference titled ‘The Art of Social Change’ began at Rabindra University on Friday.

Vice-chancellor of the university professor Md Shah Azam inaugurated the first session of the international conference, where more than 200 teachers and researchers from the country and abroad participated, said a press release.


Professor Md Shah Azam delivered welcome speech at the beginning of the conference. He said that research was a platform for national development. Conference played an important role in bringing research to light.

Rabindra University treasurer professor Feroz Ahmed thanked guests, teachers, researchers, delegates and conference organising committee.

On the first day of the conference, former vice-chancellor of BRAC University emeritus professor Ainun Nishat and renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya were keynote speakers.

After the inaugural session, seven technical sessions were conducted simultaneously where researchers from home and abroad presented their research articles.

Architect Rafiq Azam will be present as a note speaker on Saturday. Renowned artists Riddhi Banerjee and Kaushik Majumdar will perform music in the closing evening of the conference.
