Cultural organisation Chhayanaut organised its regular music show Srotar Ashor at Chhayanaut Shangshkriti Bhaban in Dhanmondi on Friday.
Popular singers, including Farzana Afrin Eva and Kiran Chandra Roy entertained the audience by singing popular folk songs, said a press release.
Farzana Afrin Eva was the first artiste to take the stage. Eva commenced the show by rendering Jalal Uddin Khan鈥檚 song titled 鈥楤hab Toronge Eso Amar Songe鈥�. She next sang Shah Abdul Karim鈥檚 song titled 鈥楾omaro Pirite Bondhu Go鈥�.
Kiran Chandra Roy entertained the audience by rendering nine folk songs, namely 鈥楧oya Na Korile Tumi鈥�, 鈥楿dash Baul Sujan Naiya鈥�, 鈥楴a Janiya Bhedbidhan鈥�, 鈥楢mar Jemon Beni Temoni Robe鈥�, 鈥楳on To Boshe Na Griho Kaje鈥�, 鈥楯anite Chay Doyal Tomar Asol Name Ta Ki鈥�,
鈥楴itol Paye Rini Jhini鈥�, 鈥楢mi Takdhum Takdhum Bajai鈥� and 鈥楰ar Tore Nishi Jago Rai鈥�.
The singers were accompanied by Swarup Hossain on tabla, Ratan Kumar Roy on dotara, Mamunur Rashid on bashi, Doshroth Das on dhol and Prodip Kumar Roy on mandira.
