
A total of 21 organisations on Saturday received the ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award-2022’ for their significant contributions to the industrial sector through maintaining higher productivity and quality of products.
Industries minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the awards and certificates to the representatives of the recipient organisations as chief guest at a function at the Foreign Service Academy in the city, said a press release.
Senior secretary of the industries ministry Zakia Sultana and president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam attended the function as special guests.
In his speech, Humayun hoped that through such awards and recognition, new thinking would emerge which would enable efficient and effective use of human resources, machines and other materials in the production process.
National Productivity Organisation under the industries ministry has given the ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award-2022’ award in six categories.
The organisation has also given the ‘Institutional Appreciation Award-2022’ to one business organisation.Â
