Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan moved up two steps in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings published on Wednesday.

Shakib had started the ongoing T20 World Cup as the top-ranked all-rounder in the format but due to his poor performances in the Tigers’ first two matches against Sri Lanka and South Africa saw him drop down to fifth last week.

However, following an unbeaten 64 against Netherlands and two wickets against Nepal saw him move up two steps in the rankings.

Australia’s Marcus Stoinis became the new number one all-rounder in the format as Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi, who climbed to the top spot last week, dropped down three steps to fourth this week. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga currently sits second in the rankings.

In the bowling rankings, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who is Bangladesh’s leading wicket-taker in the ongoing World Cup with nine wickets, climbed up 28 steps to 69th, while leg-spinner Rishad Hossain moved up three steps to 27th.

In the batting rankings, Towhid Hridoy fell down three steps to 30th, while skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto dropped down five steps to 54th.
