The Finance Division has extended deadlines for fund release under operating and development budgets until June 23 from previous June 13, said the division officials.
It also extended the date for submission of bills under the operating and development budgets until June 24 from previous June 20.
The division informed all ministries and divisions about the time extension in a circular issued on June 19.
Finance Division officials said that the time extension was made because of the Eid holidays.
The government officers and employees enjoyed the holidays between June 14 and June 18.
The division officials said that five other deadlines relating to fund release and bills remained unchanged.
They said that the Finance Division had to complete payments and bills by June 27 for maintaining discipline in the budget for the outgoing FY24.
The country鈥檚 new financial year will begin from July 1.
On June 6, finance minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali placed Tk 7,97,000 crore national budget in Jatiya Sangsad for the FY 25.
Of the layout, he proposed Tk 5,06,971 crore for the operating budget and Tk 2,65,000 crore for the development budget.
