Members of the Rapid Action Battalion arrested a youth with 1,30,000 yaba tablets at Lombabil of Whykong union under Teknaf upazila of Cox鈥檚 Bazar Monday night.
The arrested is Riaz Uddin, 27, son of Abdur Rashid from that area.
Senior assistant director of RAB-15 (media) Md Abu Salam Chowdhury stated that acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted in the Lombabil area of Whykong union parishad.
Upon sensing the presence of RAB, Riaz Uddin attempted to flee but was apprehended. Subsequently, 130,000 yaba tablets, which he had hidden in a sophisticated manner, were recovered from him, said Abu Salam.
The arrested individual had been handed over to Teknaf police station, added the RAB official.
