The Madan municipality in Netrakona announced the budget for the financial year 2024-25 and organised a public hearing on Wednesday, said a press release.
Madan municipal mayor Saiful Islam Saif presented the budget. He presented the Tk 44,80,48,628 proposed budget in the conference room of the municipality.
In the budget, the income in the revenue sector has been estimated at Tk 3,03,70,000 and the income in the development sector has been estimated at Tk 11,20,78,628.
The income of the urban management and infrastructure development project has been estimated at Tk 30,56,00,000.
The expenditure in the revenue sector has been estimated at Tk 2,95,31,400 and the expenditure in the development sector has been estimated at Tk 10,85,00,000. The cost of the urban management and infrastructure development project has been estimated at Tk 30,33,30,000.
Municipal executive officer Jahangir Alam conducted the budget programme and accountant Abdur Rahim read the proposed budget.
On this occasion, freedom fighter journalist Azharul Islam Hiru, the municipality鈥檚 deputy assistant engineer Jamil Haider, consultants Afroza Unnahar, Anwarul Amin, panel mayor Shirin Sultana, councillors Hakku Mia, Jamal Mia Mia, among others, were present.
