
Independent lawmaker Pankaj Nath on Sunday demanded the formation of a commission to protect the rights of Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians.
He made the plea while speaking on the cut motion proposal for law ministry in the parliament.
Opposition lawmaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed stated that the law primarily served influential people.
Highlighting the shortage of judges, he said that people鈥檚 lives were spent waiting for judgments.
Hafiz Uddin also demanded High Court bench in every division.
Independent lawmaker Abul Kalam Azad criticised the judicial system, noting that despite the impressive infrastructure, millions of people were stuck in complicated legal processes.
The law minister acknowledged the backlog of cases in the courts and briefly outlined various government measures, aimed at reducing it.
