Rajshahi University on Tuesday announced its annual budget of Tk 518.95 crore for the financial year 2024-25.
The RU authorities approved the budget in the 532th syndicate meeting held at the Senate Building of the university on Monday night with vice-chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar in the chair.
The university authorities have allotted Tk 14.2 crore for research, which is about 2.74 per cent of the total budget, while Tk 393.74 crore, about 75.87 per cent of the budget, will be spent on salaries, allowances and pensions of teachers, officers and employees.
The RU public relations office administrator Professor Pranab Kumar Panday said that they had given maximum allocation in the research sector for the first time in the university鈥檚 history.
The university authorities, meanwhile, have allotted Tk 23.21 crore in the capital sector, 84.44 crore in the goods and services sector, and Tk 3.7 crore in other allocations.
