Abhijit Chowdhury, poet Aslam Sani, among others, spoke on Hashem Khan at the event.
The artist also delivered a solo lecture titled Rongtulite Bangladesh on the day.
Children accept new ideas and inventions. Due to lack of inspiration, children in our country do not feel interested in practicing cultural activities, said Hashem Khan, who has drawn the monogram and designed many books of the academy.
Mentioning that arts is not only an entertainment tool but also of protest and struggle, the artist said, ‘I enjoy drawing for textbooks because children love to see the landscape.’Â
Hashem Khan also took part a question-answer session. Child artists of the academy asked him questions about the arts, artists and the history of Bangladeshi arts practice at the event.
