Bangladesh Open University at an orientation programme in Gazipur distributed books among the Secondary School Certificate students under its Open School programme on Friday.

Attending the event as chief guest at Bhringaraj Talibabad High School in the district, the BOU vice-chancellor Syed Humayun Akhter advised the students to build reading habit.


He also urged the parents to educate their children in good education for the development of the country in future.

He, moreover, urged the teachers to explain the lessons properly and sincerely to the students.

Bhringaraj Talibabad High School headteacher Delowar Hossain presided over the event while the BOU pro-vice chancellor (admin) Nasim Banu, pro-vice chancellor (academic) Mahbuba Nasreen and student support services division director AHM Anisur Rahman Akhand were present as special guests at the event.
