
The American International University Bangladesh has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bangladesh Navy fostering opportunities for education, research, and development.
The five-year agreement was signed at the headquarters of Bangladesh Navy in the capital on June 25, said a press release issued on Monday.
Director of naval education captain M Shamsuzzaman Bhuiyan represented the Bangladesh Navy, while the AIUB pro-vice-chancellor Professor Md Abdur Rahman signed the MoU on behalf of the university.
Among others, Rear Admiral of Bangladesh Navy Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury, the AIUB engineering faculty dean ABM Siddique Hossain attended the signing ceremony.
Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury highlighted the unique strength and environment of the AIUB and expressed optimism about the MoU鈥檚 new horizons.
Abdur Rahman outlined the areas of collaboration, including education, research, conferences, R&D, and policy development.
This MoU signifies a new chapter of cooperation in higher education, reinforcing the commitment of the AIUB and the Bangladesh Navy to serve the nation through collaborative efforts, said the press release.
