Dhaka University vice-chancellor ASM Maksud Kamal inaugurates Japanese language classroom at the Institute of Modern Languages on DU campus on Tuesday.   | Press release

A newly-built classroom under the ‘Japanese Language Classroom Improvement Project’ of the Institute of Modern Languages of University of Dhaka was inaugurated at the institute on Tuesday.

Three new classrooms and three teacher’s rooms were constructed under the project, funded by the Japanese government, on the occasion of 50 years of friendly relations between Japan and Bangladesh, said a press release.


DU vice-chancellor ASM Maksud Kamal said that besides education and research, the university was engaged in ongoing joint collaboration with various universities in Japan to enhance students’ skills. 

Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh IWAMA Kiminori attended the event as a special guest and the inauguration ceremony was presided over by director of the institute professor Sayeedur Rahman.

Project director professor Mohammed Ansarul Alam delivered the welcome speech at the event, which was attended by faculty members and students of the institute.
