The High Court has set Sunday to hear a writ petition seeking a directive to hold judicial inquiry into question paper leaks in Bangladesh Civil Service examinations.

The bench of Justice KM Kamrul Kader and Justice Khizir Hayat set the schedule on Thursday after Murad Bhuiyan, the executive director of Sarda Society, a human rights organisation, personally mentioned to the court for hearing his petition.

In his petition, Murad also prayed for another directive to the government authorities for publishing a list of cadre and non-cadre officers who were selected through examinations, ranging from the 24th to the 45th BCS.

Murad alleged that question papers leaked in the BCS examinations held between the 24th to the 45th as per statements made by recently arrested former public service commission chauffeur Syed Abed Ali to the police.

He said that cadres who were selected through the 24th BCS were now holding rank of deputy secretary.

He told 抖阴精品 that a fair probe could not be possible without holding a judicial inquiry into the allegations.

He also prayed for staying the process of recruitment to railway officers through the Bangladesh Public Service Commission.

Murad also sought a directive to award exemplary punishment to those involved in the BCS question paper leaks through judicial inquiries.

On July 7, the Criminal Investigation Department arrested 17 people, including Zabed Ali, and his two colleagues of the BPSC, over allegations of leaking question papers for public service recruitment examinations.

Abed Ali, was a driver for the PSC from 1997 to 2014.

Media reports suggest that Abed Ali, despite being a chauffeur, allegedly amassed a fortune worth millions.
