Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan on Monday urged the lawyers to file their written suggestions to materialise his long-term judicial plans, including reducing case backlog and removing corruption in the judiciary.
Obaidul Hassan made the call while addressing a reception programme, organised by the Mymensingh Ainjibi Kalyan Sammiti in Dhaka, on the Supreme Court Bar Association’s auditorium.
After assuming the responsibility of the chief justice, Obaidul Hassan has undertaken plans to digitalise and modernise the judiciary.  Â
The chief justice requested Supreme Court lawyers, who reside in Mymensingh, to make suggestion to him through the office of the Supreme Court Registrar general to materialise his plan.
Moderated by the SCBA secretary Shah Monjurul Hoque, the programme was addressed, among others, by former chief justice Md Muzzamel Hussain, former Appellate Division judge Md Nuruzzaman, senior lawyer Yunuf Hussain Humayun and AKM Fazlul Haque Khan Farid.    Â
