Startup Bangladesh Limited has cancelled an investment proposal for the leading online educational institution Ten Minute School, days after its founder made remarks in favour of quota reform.
The announcement was made on the verified Facebook page of Startup Bangladesh on Tuesday.
‘The investment proposal of Tk 5 crore for Ten Minute School has been cancelled by Startup Bangladesh,’ the government company under the information and communication technology department wrote.
State minister for posts, telecommunications, and information technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak also confirmed the cancellation in a Facebook post.
Ayman Sadiq, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ten Minute School, had posted on Facebook in favour of quota reform in government jobs, stating, ‘I want quota reforms, let merit be the biggest quota.’
He also protested against a Chhatra League attack in another Facebook post two days ago.
