Banks and stock exchanges will run their operations as per their normal schedules from today.
The Bangladesh Bank on Tuesday issued a circular in this regard.
According to the schedule, banks will run transactions from 10:00am to 4:00pm from today.
In the past three days, from Sunday to Tuesday, banks kept their branches open from 10:00am to 3:00pm in line with the relaxation of the ongoing curfew.
The government imposed the curfew in the country from midnight past July 19 amid deaths of people and violence centring quota reform protests.
The government also announced general holidays for July 21-23, keeping offices, including banks and the stock market, shut.
The country鈥檚 banks and the stock exchanges reopened on July 24 with curtailed periods of operations amid the curfew.
Tuesday鈥檚 BB circular also said that banks would remain open until 6:00pm to conduct post-trading activities from today.
Trading of the shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange and the Chittagong Stock Exchange will return to their regular schedules from today, officials said.
The regular trading hours on the DSE and the CSE are from 10.00am to 2.20pm and from 10.00am to 2.30pm respectively.
In July 24-25, the Dhaka bourse operated from 11.00am to 2.00pm, and in July 28-30, the bourse operated from 10.00am to 1.50pm in line with the relaxation of the curfew.
Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reports: The Bangladesh Bank has re-set the duration of interbank transactions with effect from today.
From now on, high-value clearing cheques presentment cut-off time will be 12:00pm while the return cut-off time will be 3:00pm, as per a BB notification issued on Tuesday.
The return value clearing cheques presentment cut-off time will be 12:30pm while the return cut-off time will be 5:00pm.
Transaction of both sessions through BEFTN will be in the existing schedule.
Transactions using the BB鈥檚 real time gross settlement system will continue from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
However, the payment of customs duties can be done until 5:00pm while interbank fund transfers and return until 5.15pm.
