
Leaders of the Ganatantra Mancha, a combine of six political parties, on Tuesday expressed concern over confrontational politics and countrywide sectarian attacks on religious minorities after fall of Sheikh Hasina government on Monday.
The coordinator of the combine and also president of Nagarik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna at a press conference at party鈥檚 central office on Topkhana Road said that they were deeply concerned about countrywide political confrontations and sectarian attacks on Hindu minority people after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government.
He called on all to stop such political confrontations and sectarian attacks on religious minority communities immediately.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna also called on president Mohammed Shahabuddin to take initiative to form an interim government within the shortest possible time to save the country from anarchies.
Revolutionary Workers Party general secretary Saiful Huq also called on the people of the country to refrain from confrontational politics and carrying out sectarian attacks.
Ganosamhati Andolan chief coordinator Zonayed Saki called on all not to perpetrate such acts as those would tarnish the victory of students and people against autocracy.
He called on leaders and activists of partners of the Ganatantra Mancha to form countrywide brigades to resist the sectarian attacks.
Bhashani Onusari Parishad convener Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu urged that an interim government should be formed immediately to fulfil the vacuum created due to the absence a government to rule the country.
Rastra Sanskar Andolan chief coordinator Hasnat Quaiyum said that sectarian attacks will foil the success of our victory.
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD general secretary Shahhid Uddin Mahmod Shapon also demanded formation of an interim government as early as possible.
