The judicial activities of both the Appellate Division and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court will remain suspended until further order, said an official order issued on Wednesday night.
Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan made the decision in consultation with the president, Mohammed Shahabuddin, according to the order signed by the Supreme Court registrar general Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan.聽
Earlier on the day, attorney general AM Amin Uddin resigned citing his difficulties two days after prime minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country amid students-led mass uprising.
