
A student who sustained bullet injury on August 4 died while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning.
The victim, Emon, 22, sustained bullet injury in Mirzapur area in Tangail.
Emon鈥檚 friend Imran Hossain said that Emon injured in a clash between protesters and police in Gorai area under Mirzapur upazila in Tangail on August 4 and students admitted him to a private hospital in Uttara and he was shifted to DMCH on August 6.
He said that Emon completed his higher secondary study from Bhuapur Moniruzzaman Khan College and was trying to get admitted to another college for higher studies.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia said that the body would be handed over to the family after post-mortem examinations.
