Miscreants vandalised the offices of East West Media Group PLC, including newspapers Bangladesh Pratidin and Kaler Kantho along with radio station Radio Capital FM 94.8 on Monday afternoon.
They also vandalised some vehicles during the attack.
Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Pratidin crime reporting team in-charge Sakhawat Kawsar said that about 80-90 miscreants with sticks attacked media houses Bangladesh Pratidin, Kaler Kantho and Radio Capital FM 94.8 at about 3:00pm.
鈥楾hey also vandalised some vehicles in the compound. The duration of the attack was about 10 to 15 minutes,鈥� he said, adding that five media workers were injured and took primary treatment.
He said that they had informed police and army verbally but no complaint was lodged.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Gulshan Division deputy commissioner Md Riazul Haque said that no complaint was lodged so far in this connection.
鈥極ur team is working and we are trying to find out the attackers,鈥� Riazul added.
