Metro rail services in the capital are likely to resume from August 25, said the authorities on Tuesday.
It was also decided that the trains would not stop at the damaged Mirpur 10 and Kazipara stations.

Around 700 Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited employees from Grade-10 to Grade-20 were observing an all-out work abstention from August 6, demanding an end to injustice and discrimination in their jobs, including upgradation of their pay scales.
On Monday night, a board meeting of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited took decision to hike the salaries of the employees from Grade-10 to Grade-20, said a company official seeking anonymity.
The release said that the newly appointed Road Transport and Highways Division senior secretar,y Md Ehsanul Haque, visited the metro rail’s Press Club station on Tuesday.
He discussed with the company officials and directed them to take necessary steps to resume the services immediately.
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited is the implementing agency of the metro rail.

A decision to resume the metro rail services from August 17 was announced at a meeting of the Advisory Council of the interim government held at the state guest house Jamuna on August 11.
But the authorities backtracked from the decision citing unavoidable reasons.
Insiders said that the decision was cancelled as the authorities could not start trial run of the trains before resuming the services following the strike of the employees.
Most of these employees are engaged in metro rail operation and maintenance work.
