All the officers and employees of Mongla Port Authority donated an amount equal to their one day鈥檚 basic salary in the relief and welfare fund of the chief adviser to the interim government.
Due to severe floods in different districts of the country, this money has been given to support the flood affected people and to deal with the ongoing floods, said a press release.
Rear Admiral Shahin Rahman, chairman of Mongla Port, said, 鈥業 have given one day鈥檚 salary of the port officials and employees in the relief and welfare fund of the chief adviser.鈥�
On Monday, 19 tonnes of pure water, food items and medicines will be distributed among 1000 families in flood affected Feni district and 200 families in Paikgacha of Khulna.
