Professor Md Sayedur Rahman has been appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, says a press release.
Sayedur Rahman, who is serving as chairman of pharmacology department of the BSMMU, is replacing the outgoing vice-chancellor Professor Deen Md Nurul Haque.
The Health Education and Family Welfare Division of health ministry issued a notification, signed by deputy secretary Mohammad Kamal Hossain, in this regarding on Tuesday.
