The Border Guard Bangladesh sent necessary relief materials with helicopter for distribution among 500 families of Jashpur in Chhagalnaya under flood-hit Feni on Monday morning.
Later, Feni Battalion (4 BGB) of BGB distributed relief among 600 families staying at Mirza Bazar Islamia Dakhil Madrasa, Mirza Bazar Primary School and Paura Market area and Dakshin Satar High School and North Satar Forkaniya Noorani Madrasa shelters.
No relief has reached these shelters earlier, said the flood-affected people of the shelters. They expressed gratitude and satisfaction to BGB for getting relief for the first time, said a press release.
