The interim government has reconstituted the board of directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Civil aviation and tourism affairs ministry announced the reform in a gazette notification on Tuesday, says a press release issued by Biman on Wednesday.


The newly restructured board includes a mix of high-ranking government officials and distinguished figures from various sectors.

Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, a former adviser to the caretaker government, was made chairman of the board of directors of Biman.

The other people in the 13-member Biman board include high officials, including secretary of civil aviation ministry, secretary of finance division at finance ministry, chairman of national board of revenue, secretary of chief adviser鈥檚 office, chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, engineer-in-chief of Bangladesh Army and Biman鈥檚 managing director and CEO.
