Aparup Chowdhury has been elected chairman of United Commercial Bank PLC during the bank鈥檚 board meeting held on Tuesday, said a press release.
In the meeting, Bashir Ahmed was elected executive committee chairman of UCB.聽
Aparup Chowdhury, also an independent director of UCB, was a former secretary to the government of Bangladesh.聽
Bashir Ahmed is also serving as managing director of Airmate Goodie Electrical Industries Limited and a few other companies.
