Rapid Action Battalion arrested former commerce minister Tipu Munshi in the capital鈥檚 Gulshan area in the early hours of Thursday in a murder case filed in Rangpur.
Goldsmith Muslim Uddin Milion was killed during the Student Movement Against Discrimination by police gunshots in Rangpur, said a RAB release.
Confirming the matter, RAB Headquarters Media Wing assistant superintendent of police Imran Khan said that he was arrested at about 1:00am on Thursday.
Tipu was also a former president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association from November 2005 to July 2006.
