Former secretary Waliul Islam has been made new president of the Gono Bishwabidyalay Board of Trustees.
He was made president at the 52nd meeting of the BoT held at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi in Dhaka on Saturday.
The Gono University former BoT president Professor Serajul Islam Choudhury presided over the meeting, which also relieved the registrar of the university S Tasaddek Ahmed from his post.聽
On September 15, Serajul Islam Choudhury鈥檚 term as president will end. He was president of the university鈥檚 board of trustees for two consecutive terms.
Members of the board of trustees Dr Abul Kasem Chowdhury, Professor Amirul Islam Chowdhury, Justice Mohammad Abdur Rauf, Dr Syed Modasser Ali, Shireen Parveen Haque, and vice-chancellor of the university Professor Md Abul Hossain and acting registrar Abu Muhammad Mukammel were present at the meeting.
