Religious affairs adviser AFM Khalid Hossain said it is the duty of every Muslim to present the beauty of the teachings and ideals of the Prophet (PBUH) to the world with the sweetness of his speech and character.

‘We are repeatedly losing our way due to non-following of Sunnah in national life. All wise thinkers of the world agree that Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) is the greatest human being in the world. Allah has sent him as an ideal and a guide for mankind.’


‘As Muslims, it is our duty to present the beauty and rationality of the Prophet's beautiful character and teachings to the people of the world. The propaganda against Islam by the western world must be rationally answered,’ said the adviser.

He was speaking at the seminar organised at Baitush Sharaf Islamic Research Centre at Farmgate of the capital on Thursday.

The theme of this seminar, which was organised to welcome the month of Rabiul Awal, was 'Building life by following the love and Sunnah of Rasulullah (SAW).'

Imam and Khatib Maulana Zafar Ahmad of Dhaka Baitush Sharaf Mosque presided over the programme conducted by the director of the research centre Muhammad Isa Shahedi.

Al Arafah Islami Bank's former chairman Abdul Malek Molla and former vice-chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University Abdul Latif Masum were present as special guests.

The main article was presented by Chittagong University associate professor of Communication and Journalism Department of Md Shahidul Haque.

Kushtia Islamic University's former dean of the faculty of arts Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, professor of Bangla department Rahman Habib, Professor of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies Department Muinul Haque, poet and philosopher Musa Al Hafiz and Professor of Department of Software Engineering at Daffodil University AKM Masum participated in the discussion.

Advocate Mohammad Golam Mostafa, general secretary of Baitush Sharaf Anjuman-e-Ittehad Dhaka unit, delivered vote of thanks, said a press release.

The speakers at the seminar drew the attention of the interim government to include the life of the Prophet and Islamic education in the syllabus at all levels of schools, colleges and universities in the national education curriculum.

They also said that according to the commentary of the hadith, it is the duty of every Muslim to follow the Sunnah of the Madani life of the Prophet and the 30-year rule of Khulafa-e-Rasheda.
