The American International University-Bangladesh former students held the European Alumni Meet 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany on Saturday.
It brought together alumni from across Europe who have made significant contributions in their respective fields, said a press release on Sunday.
Founding member of the AIUB board of trustees, Ishtiaque Abedin, was present as chief guest, while Sabrina Abedin, member of the AIUB board of trustees, and Zaheed Sabur, Google鈥檚 first Bangladeshi distinguished engineer and senior director, attended as special guests at the event.
At about 300 AIUB alumni from various parts of Europe participated in the event.
Thanking the organisers for arranging such a programme and expressing his gratitude for the invitation, Ishtiaque Abedin highlighted that the AIUB alumni excelling in their respective fields across Europe would create employment opportunities for other AIUB graduates.
Zaheed Sabur also expressed his appreciation to the organisers, emphasising the importance of alumni networks.
The event concluded with cultural performances and entertainment activities, leaving attendees with fond memories of the occasion.
