
The government on Monday appointed Mohammad Abdur Rouf as the new managing director of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, the implementing agency of metro rail services in the capital.
On the same day the government cancelled the appointment of its first and immediately past managing director MAN Siddique.
The road transport and bridges ministry on Monday issued two circulars in these regard.
The decisions came after allegations surfaced that the then government did not follow the due procedures while appointing MAN Siddique to the post.
